Becoming a host family

Every year, over 1,000 students come to Lyon to learn French at the Alliance Française.

Many of them have academic or professional plans in their home countries, and want to experience a deep cultural and linguistic immersion to make the most of their stay in France.

For this, there’s nothing like living with Lyonnais families eager to share their traditions and cultural habits.

For 40 years, the Alliance Française de Lyon has been promoting the French language and Francophone culture by welcoming students of over 100 nationalities.

To become an Alliance Française host family, all you need to do is :

2. An Alliance staff member will then contact you to arrange an interview.
