From March 24 to April 7, 2024, the Vox Populi festival honors committed European cinema through a selection of films reflecting Europe’s fundamental values: tolerance, justice, respect for minorities and differences.
Program:
Monday, March 24: Nuit de la Petite – Short films from the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, highlighting adaptation and change in a changing Europe.
Tuesday, March 25: Anul Nou Car-a-Fost / Le Nouvel An Qui N’est Jamais Arrivé – Romanian film by Bogdan Mureșanu about the memory of the totalitarian regime.
Wednesday March 27: Bis Hierhin und Wie Weiter? / Until Here and After? – German documentary by Felix Maria Bühler about the struggle for the ideals of a human rights group.
Thursday March 28: La Mer au Loin – French documentary by Marie Cosnay on exile, between intimate and collective memory.
Monday March 31: Sob a Chama da Candeia / À la Lueur de la Chandelle – Portuguese drama by Joao Pedro Rodrigues about memory, community and spirituality.
Tuesday April 1: Vivre(s) / Septembre Sans Attendre – Belgian animated film about ecology and human relationships.
Thursday, April 4: Flow – Latvian film about water as a link between peoples.
Friday, April 5: Vermiglio / The Mountain Bride – Italian film about the collective memory of alpine communities.
Monday, April 7: Kneecap – Irish drama combining music and identity struggle.
